Sidónio de Sousa Merlot 2022 is a Portuguese red made in the prestigious Bairrada region by producer Dulcinea dos Santos Ferreira. It's a single-varietal made exclusively from Merlot, aged for 6 months in new French oak barrels.

Deep ruby in colour, it shows a young, fresh and markedly fruity profile, with aromas of ripe wild berries complemented by delicate notes of chocolate and subtle toasty nuances from the oak. On the palate it's smooth, full-bodied and balanced, with vibrant acidity giving freshness and precision, reflecting the identity of the Bairrada terroir. It finishes long and expressive, with an enveloping finish dominated by spice and red fruit.
