Description
The Chita distillery on Ise Bay near Nagoya produces the grain whisky that gives smoothness to Suntory’s famous blends such as Hibiki. The Chita presents it for the first time as a single grain: a column-distilled corn whisky that is light, sweet and very elegant, designed for the Japanese highball.
Matured in American oak, wine casks and sherry casks and bottled at 43%, it shows honey, vanilla, cream and flowers on the nose. The palate is light and fresh, with honey, cream, vanilla and spice. The finish is smooth and clean, with honey, vanilla and oak.
An easy, versatile whisky to enjoy neat, on ice or in a refreshing highball. It pairs with grilled fish, seafood, salads and fresh cheeses, and is an excellent choice for anyone discovering the category.
