Teixuga Red 2017/2018 (New Harvest)

Character, elegance and boldness. So is the Teixuga Red 2017, which has just joined the list of the 30 best Portuguese wines launched in 2022, in the so-called «Oscars of wine», in an initiative under the responsibility of Revista de Vinhos.

The Teixuga brand brings top-of-the-range wines from the Beira producer Caminhos Cruzados, based in Nelas, to the market. The old vines, some seven decades old, provide the best grapes in the Dão region and are the origin of this Teixuga Red 2017, where the country's queen red grape variety, Touriga Nacional, predominates, sprinkled with other varieties from old vines planted in granite soil. .

It is a wine of great aromatic complexity and intense red color. Balanced, with a lively attack and persistent finish, Teixuga Red 2017 is especially suitable for game dishes, roast goat or lamb.

The winemaking team made up of Manuel Vieira, Carloto Magalhães and Carla Rodrigues are responsible for this distinctive wine from Dão, which has received great praise from the oenophile community.
