Description

Château Cantenac Brown 2016 is a prestigious red from Margaux, Bordeaux, classified as a 3ème Grand Cru Classé. It's widely considered one of the most powerful and concentrated wines of the vintage in the appellation, balancing typical Margaux elegance with robust structure.

The 2016 Cantenac Brown comes from a Margaux estate that has really raised its game in recent years. It has an intense bouquet, with floral scents mixing with black cherry, cassis and boysenberry, in a curious way almost reminiscent of Saint-Émilion.

The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins. Silky and very well balanced, with well-judged acidity, there's an almost sorbet-like freshness built into this Margaux that glides across the palate to a rather sensual finish. This is certainly on a par with the impressive 2015 Cantenac Brown.
