Description

Guarita de Chocapalha Tinto 2017 is a very limited red made in the prestigious Lisboa region by Quinta de Chocapalha. This top wine was designed by renowned winemaker Sandra Tavares da Silva and pays tribute to the family patriarch, Paulo Tavares da Silva.

Tasting Note

Deeply coloured and almost impenetrable, Guarita de Chocapalha Tinto 2017 shows strong presence and great concentration from the start.

On the nose it has an intense, enveloping aromatic expression, led by ripe black fruit and elegant hints of chocolate. Despite its depth, it keeps a refined, precise and highly sophisticated profile.

On the palate it stands out for its volume and structure, with a silky, enveloping texture. The firm but excellent-quality tannins give definition and balance, making for a tasting that's both powerful and elegant.

It finishes extraordinarily long and persistent, leaving a complex, deep expression that confirms all its character and ageing potential.
